Winter

Some of New York City’s most beautiful sights come out in winter, especially during the holidays. However, any trip can take a turn if you aren’t prepared for the cold weather ahead. Some extra accessories you’ll want to have on you in the winter include:

  • Layered clothing

Spring

Spring is one of the best times to enjoy all that NYC has to offer. The flowers are blooming in the parks, and there’s never a bad day to take a walk outside and spend the day in the sun. The city can change when you least expect it to in the springtime, so here’s what you need if you want to enjoy it while still being prepared.

  • A light sweater - It might still be chilly!
  • Sunglasses to protect yourself from the sun.
  • A picnic blanket to enjoy the warm weather in Central Park.
  • Water to drink throughout the day.
  • A light jacket
  • A rain jacket in case you get caught in the rain.

Summer

Summer is when the fun begins in New York City, thanks to their big events, warm weather and fun that doesn’t stop when the sun goes down. It’s also when travelers need to be the most prepared as temperatures start to rise. If you still want to enjoy the city without the heat stopping you, you’ll need:

  • Sunglasses
  • Sneakers or comfortable sandals for walking.
  • A picnic blanket for trips to a park or beach.
  • Sunscreen for hot days.
  • Lip balm with SPF to protect your lips.

Fall
